The Doctor is in the house
It is official! I successfully defended my PhD thesis on May 12th and I am now Dr. Piwarzyk. It feels awesome and I want to say thank you to all of my friends and family that have been so supportive (especially over the last six years).

Go g-men
The giants are in the big game! The Piwarzyk bowl (Bri the Pats fan, I am , of course, a die-hard NYG fan) will be a very interesting battle. I can't decide if its better to have my team win and have a very, very grumpy husband or have them lose and make Brian happy. Well, I thought long and hard and I WANT MY TEAM TO WIN! Go big blue!

Tired of winter...

There is no more snow left to ski on so now I am just waiting for the two months of 45 degree/rainy weather to disappear! In the mean time, Brian and I had a wonderful 2nd anniversary yesterday. It was 40 degrees and raining just like our wedding day. I want to say congrads to all my pregnant friends (Karen, Stacey, and Charlotte)...geez I better not drink the water around here! I'll drink a cold one for all of you instead!

I'm back

Well, Brian and I just returned from some bodacious skiing in CO. Many thank yous to Bill and Sandy for letting us crash. We came home the night before we got 2 feet of snow so all and all, its been a pretty fun Feb. We went skiing with Dan, Mel, and the kids when we got back. Elias was ripping through those moguls.

Jamaica Mon!

Brian and I just returned from Jamaica with our good friends John and Karen. What a fabulous vacation. We stayed at the Grand Lido in Negril Jamaica. The highlights have to be the cliff diving at Rick's cafe and Brian seeing a 18 foot Nurse Shark while scuba diving. I am vey, VERY, grateful that I missed the shark. Of course, we also had to spend some time at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville...as every parrathead should. John I hope you have recovered from your 30 foot leap! Also, I have to send a shout out to the C.O.club!

Elias Matthew is born!

I would like to welcome my new nephew Elias Matthew to the world. He was born on September 13, 2006. I can't wait to meet him. Mom and baby are doing well and returned home from the hospital this morning. At birth, Elias was a healthy 8 pound 6 ouncer and as cute as they come.

Big Weekend ahead

Tonight is the big fantasy football draft at the Piwarzyk homestead. Its basically the softball team drinking indoors. Then its off to Acadia National Park (Maine) with the hubby, the dog, Matt, and Drew. Another weekend of me and the boys. The weather should be nice in chilly so it will be great camping weather. I am looking forward to hiking, kayaking, and just chatting around the fire.
